Tenbury Transport Trust was formed as a charity in February 2014 and is dedicated to the provision of transport facilities in Tenbury and its surrounding area for anyone who does not have access to adequate or appropriate transport. There are no age restrictions. Under 14’s must travel with an adult
We offer a range of transport options for our clients to attend appointments, get shopping, meet with friends and family and a variety of other activities. We have a team of volunteer car drivers who provide transport in their own cars, as well as our own wheelchair friendly car. We run regular minibus trips into Tenbury, to Burford House Gardens, Malvern, Ludlow, Hereford and Leominster, and occasional trips to places of interest. We also provide minibuses to local schools, and not-for-profit community groups and organisations for trips and excursions. We are always looking to recruit more volunteer drivers to join our team.
A charity established in 2014 to meet the transport needs of all ages in Tenbury Wells and the surrounding area.
We are a non-profit making service helping to make a difference from the very young to the elderly and of any ability. We are here for all of you!
Our aim is to help reduce isolation and loneliness, promote independence, and keep communities together and talking.
Our volunteers’ car running costs are mostly met by the fares paid by the passengers.
Our rural bus service costs are mostly offset by the fares charged.
We rely on donations to pay our administrative overheads, which includes the salary of three part-time administrators.
We have been generously supported from the outset by Worcestershire County Council, Malvern Hills District Council and a number of donors, who also include some users of our services.
We are extremely grateful for these contributions which help us continue our services to this community. Thank you!
